Peppermint offer dermal fillers in Glasgow. There are many reasons why our skin and overall facial appearance gradually lose their structure – weather, pollution, stress, and simply aging. On top of that, our skin contains Hyaluronic Acid (HA), that declines with age. These elements combine to create lines around our faces. At our aesthetics practice on Bath Street, we see a whole number of patients with varying reasons for seeking dermal fillers in Glasgow, each personal to them.

Our permanent dermal fillers reduce lines, and replace lost HA, moisturising your skin from the inside and helping to give it elasticity and tone. It can quickly restore your skin, and smooth away those facial lines to enhance your natural beauty and give you a more youthful appearance. Facial fillers can be used in other areas like adding volume in your tear troughs or subtly for chin augmentation – all of which will achieve a natural look in the area treated. One of our experienced team members will conduct a thorough consultation with you in our Glasgow City Centre clinic before we decide on which dermal filler treatment is most suitable.

FAQs
Dermal Fillers are popular treatments for permanent wrinkles. If there are any unanswered questions below, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

Nasolabial folds (between the nose and mouth)
Marionette lines (the so-called ‘smile lines’ in the corners of the mouth)

Our fillers are long-lasting gels that, once injected into the skin with an ultra-fine needle, lifts and adds volume to the areas being treated. Similar to one of the body’s own natural substances (hyaluronic acid fillers), it is a completely safe treatment.

Our Dermal Fillers (Juvéderm® Ultra) and Botox work in different ways to smooth and rejuvenate your skin.

Our Dermal Fillers mimic the hydrating and lifting effect of your skin’s natural HA, which keeps the skin hydrated and elastic. They fill in and smooth away facial lines and acne scars, other skin contour deficiencies, and lost volume.

The most appropriate lines to treat with our Dermal Fillers are those that are described as static – this means the deep facial lines you can see when your face is relaxed. Static lines are due to lack of elasticity of the skin caused by sun damage, smoking, and genetics.

Botox treatments may be used to address dynamic wrinkles – those that are only seen while making facial expressions such as smiling, frowning, or raising your eyebrows. Botox, as an anti wrinkle treatment, works in a targeted way to relax the tiny muscles that cause glabellar lines, crows feet, and forehead lines – smoothing out wrinkles for around four months.

One of the benefits of using our fillers is you don’t need to wait three weeks for a skin test as you might with other fillers, so you can be treated on your very first visit. The area to be treated will be numbed using a topical anaesthetic cream. Your doctor may advise that you have a local anaesthetic, especially if you’re having volume added to your lips. Since our fillers are injected with a very fine needle, you’ll only feel a brief sting, if any. The transparent Dermal Filler gel is injected with a syringe into the mid-to-deep dermis of your face and you may experience a tiny scratch sensation.

Depending on the number of areas treated, the dermal filler procedure will last approximately 30 minutes.

You will observe immediate results. Your skin will be smoother and have a more youthful look. Once any swelling has subsided, the results will be subtle and pleasing.

Our fillers use a proprietary form of HA that exists naturally in your skin. It lasts longer than other older formulas – around 12 months compared to other fillers which may only last for a couple of months.

There is no recovery period necessary when you have Dermal Filler treatment. You may go back to work or resume your normal activities as soon as your treatment is completed. There may be some slight redness or bruising where the injections were done, but these can be covered with makeup.

With Dermal Fillers, there can be redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection site – which is all normal and will subside. All aspects of the treatment and any possible side effects will be discussed in detail at your free consultation.

Many of our clients combine Dermal Fillers with Botox for an overall younger looking skin and the glowing reviews they leave are testament to their effectiveness.

There is absolutely no obligation to go ahead with treatment. We understand that this is a big decision for you and we want you to be totally satisfied that it’s the right thing to do before committing to book the treatment.
